The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), representing manufacturers that produce tires in the United States, today launched National Tire Safety Week 2026, an annual weeklong public education campaign reminding drivers that tires play a critical role in vehicle safety and should be checked regularly as part of routine maintenance. Running June 29 through July 4, this year’s campaign carries the theme “Driving Safety, Full Circle” and kicks off a new USTMA storytelling platform, dedicated to the everyday value of tires to American life.

The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), representing manufacturers that produce tires in the U.S., today launched National Tire Safety Week 2025, an annual public education campaign designed to raise awareness about the critical role of tire care in driver safety. Running from June 30 to July 4, this year’s theme, “Check Your Tires. Protect What Matters,” urges drivers to take simple, proactive steps, such as checking tire pressure, tread depth, alignment and rotation, to help protect the people and moments that matter most. USTMA also released findings from a recent national survey that suggest drivers understand the importance of tire care and safety, but key knowledge gaps still exist.
USTMA Reports Progress in Tire Recycling, Calls for Continued Collaboration to Drive Circularity
The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) today released its 16th End-of-Life Tire Management Report, revealing positive momentum in tire recycling with 79% of end-of-life tires being consumed by end-use markets. This reflects a 10.5% increase in overall utilization, reinforcing that end-of-life tires remain one of the most recycled and reclaimed consumer products, outpacing materials like metal, glass, aluminum, plastic, and paper.
